Richiedi informazioni
The nuragic askoid jug of the Villa Abbas Cooperative is a handcrafted ceramic made using the ancient "colombino" manufacturing technique with stick decoration. The dark brown color is obtained through redox firing. The artifact represents the reworking of a nuragic askoid jug with canula handle and trilobate mouth, coming from the Archaeological Area of S. Anastasia di Sardara and dedicated to the Cult of water. The dating of the original dates back to the 9th-8th century. BC (Nuragic culture) and can be traced back to the Iron Age. The original jug is exhibited at the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari. The object is made entirely by hand.
