Bust of a Woman with Desulo’s Costume

The bust of a woman with Desulo’s costume by Ceramiche Mola was created in 2016 by Alessandro Mola jr. The sculpture represents the profile of a young woman wearing the traditional headgear formed by a cap (su cucuddu), on a red cloth base (su colore). The rest is instead meticulously embroidered with a colourful silk thread. The geometric and floral motifs are all made with diversified embroidery stitches. The costume of Desulo is one of the most loved by the public thanks to its unique shapes and colours.
