Azienda Agricola Fraicu is a small company that was founded in 2019 in an old building in the territory of Arzachena, in the north of the island. We grow saffron (CrocusSativus), one of the aromatic and medicinal essences typical of Sardinia, which belongs to the Sardinian agricultural tradition since the 9th century BC. The bulbs used in our farm come from San Gavino Monreale, one of the municipalities of Sardinian DOP saffron, as well as the agronomic techniques: multi-year cultivation cycle, use of natural fertilizers, weeding and manual harvesting. Fraicu saffron is sold in dried stigmas which maintain the flavour and organoleptic characteristics of the product unchanged. The packages are in glass or tin, completely eco-friendly.
