Apinath has been practicing biological apiculture since the beginning of its activity, even though it never having applied for certification. Although it has never required certification, Apinath has always practised organic beekeeping, where essential oils are preferred to treatments against bee diseases, and where no harmful products are used or which may interfere with the properties of honey itself. The apiaries are located in uncontaminated areas of Mediterranean maquis, and this contributes to maintaining the quality of the honey, as the certificates and analyses confirm. Apinath has received numerous awards and honours in prestigious events: in 2020, for the seventh consecutive year, it was awarded by the National Honey Observatory.
