Bottega Artigiana Meloni’s history began in Lanusei in 1969, when Antonio Meloni opened a workshop in which he made refined handcrafted tailor-made footwear. In the 70s he decided to expand the business and opened a shop in the main street of the country and started the production of a wide range of leather accessories, all strictly handmade. In the '80s, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to experiment new sales opportunities, and he began selling his products in the best leather goods stores throughout Sardinia. While remaining a family business, the activity over the years is expanded with the production of saddles and harnesses for horses and with the opening of the Saddlery.
