Casu 'e Babbu Lodè

The brand name "Casu 'e Babbu" (that means daddy's cheese in Sardinian lanyuage) was born thanks to Valerio, the owner’s son. When his mother asked to Valerio what kind of cheese he wanted on the pasta, he answered without wavering: "Casu e babbu". Casu 'e babbu is an adventure that began in 2000, when Mr. Gianni Mele, the owner, founded his company in Lodè, a small country in the province of Nuoro. The farm is located in Sant'Anna, at the foot of Montalbo. It is a boundless territory within the framework set by Regional Natural Park Tepilora Rio Posada (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The dairy farm was born in 2013 and in 2017 it obtained the "Noble Milk" certification from ALNI, the Italian Noble Milk Association, and it is a symbol of quality and prestige at national and international level.
