Alessandro Mola Jr’s passion for ceramics runs in his blood, being him the son and nephew of two artists. The grandfather, from whom he also inherited the name, was a very famous sculptor and ceramist of the first half of the 20th century. While dedicating himself to another profession, Alessandro loves ceramic sculpture and starting expressing himself in this craft as a teenager. His women figures wear the costumes of different Sardinian villages, thus resuming the themes dear to his grandfather while reinterpreting them with his own artistic sensibility. These ceramics are faithful to the reproduction of traditional Sardinian costumes, even if renewed by the personal creativity of the artist. The works range from 1980s till today and change over the years with the improvement of skills, technical solutions and artistic refinement.
