Abbamele - 2 pcs of 500 g

The Li Canzu “Abbamele” (or “Abbatu”) by Azienda Agricola Salvatore Masala is one of the oldest Sardinian products. It is a derivative obtained after a process of honey extraction. The residual wax contains honey, pollen and propolis and is washed with warm water. The mixture is then filtered and the remaining water is reduced over a slow fire together with orange zest and fennel until a fairly dense consistency with a very dark colour is obtained. Li Canzu Abbamele by Azienda Agricola Salvatore Masala is perfect to be combined with fresh ricotta and cheeses of various seasoning, or to be used as an ingredient for desserts.
