The seadas with pecorino cheese by Calitài are a tasty traditional Sardinian dessert made of semolina and pecorino cheese. Seadas, today produced throughout the Sardinian territory, were originally produced only in the areas with the greatest agricultural and pastoral vocation. Their main ingredient is in fact the pecorino cheese that, raw or cooked, is enclosed within dough discs. Fried in hot oil and garnished with honey or sugar, Calitài’s are excellent at the end of a meal as a dessert or, sometimes, you can eat them to replace a second course.
