Antonio Contini is a Sardinian craftsman who began his artistic career as a furniture carver in a small artisan workshop in Assemini when he was only thirteen years old. The day a customer asks him to repair the wooden handle of an old knife, Antonio discovers in himself the passion for this craft, and slowly learns how to make the typical knives of Sardinian tradition. Today Antonio works at his artisan workshop in Assemini, where he produces completely handmade knives. The materials he prefers are, for the handles, mouflon, mutton and buffalo horn and natural woods such as olive and juniper tree. As for the blades, he uses steels such as MA5MV and C70.
