Alghero owns its red gold, the coral. From now on there is also its yellow coral: the saffron. Zaffera takes great care in the packaging of its final product, consisting of saffron pistils, which are marketed in packs of 0.3 grams, 0.5 grams and 1 gram, respectively. In addition to selling saffron, the company has begun to prepare handmade sweets, using the precious pistils. Currently, it’s also experimenting with the production of a saffron liqueur. Since 2015, Zaffera collaborates with Porto Conte Park, which takes care of keeping in contact the business activities in the area.
