Gueffus, or, in Italian, "Guelphs", are famous examples of Sardinia's confectionery tradition and are produced artisanally by Biscottificio Corronca. Each guelph is a small praline of almond dough characterized by the combination of liquor and citrus aromas. This is then covered with a light layer of sugar and wrapped in a typical, playful and lively coloured tissue paper. Beloved for their simple sweetness, offered and consumed on both great occasions and everyday life, guelphs are small worlds made of Sardinian flavour.
