"My name is Paolo Cortis but everyone calls me Ivan. Cultivating saffron has always been my passion, ever since 1987 when I was fascinated by a huge field of fragrant saffron flowers that grew around my uncle Claudio's property in Villanovafranca, which he decided to give me. After all, my grandfather was also involved in the sale of saffron and almonds, so I had no doubt in starting out on this new adventure, first as a hobby in 2005, and then as my profession, obtaining the recognition “Zafferano di Sardegna DOP” as a producer, processor and packer. My mission? To aim always and only at excellence to guarantee a production of the highest quality saffron".
