The Mattarena winery was born out of Davide Chergia's genuine passion for nature and his desire to preserve an important family tradition. The vineyards are located in the Sinis Peninsula, an area dedicated to the production of high quality wines from local indigenous grape varieties such as Nieddera and Vernaccia. In addition to these excellences of Sardinian viticulture, there is also room, in suitable soils, for the cultivation of some of the most popular international varieties. Davide is an experienced winegrower, with energy and ambition, driven by his deep connection to the land, who continues the family business and tradition. Thanks to the vineyards inherited from his grandfather Domenico Lasiu and his father Salvatore, Davide pursues the passion that has allowed him to develop, over time, a special bond with the vineyards he cultivates, alternating work in the fields with that of commercial director of his company.
